As a long time user of petrol chain saws, I wasn't sure I'd like this, but as long as you aren't expecting a petrol chainsaw, it's pretty good! Initial feedback is that the start torque is pretty weak, and anything but instantaneous... you need to get the saw running before you get I to the cut. It's a small adjustment to make in how one uses a saw, but not too much hassle. It is, however, frustrating if you are in a cut and pause. Getting the saw running again with any resistance against the chain moving causes the saw to stall - forcing you to have to remove the saw from the cut, get it spinning again, and then get back in there. Again, if you are aware of this, you can work around it, but its just not a petrol saw. Feels like it uses a fair amount of bar oil, but that is just based on feeling so far. The chain was razor sharp out of the box, to the point that it was grabby on things - but once it had made a few cuts and taken the slightest bit of edge off the teeth, it was much more predictable, especially for cuts from underneath, or cuts where you can't get the plastic bucking ridges up against the material. All in all, an ace saw once you are familiar with its quirks, and fantastic in the home garden. Made short work of both wet and dry wood up to about 200mm. Looking forward to seeing how it goes long term - I do have minor concerns about the plastic bucking ridges with the way the saw grabs and pulls itself towards the material, with some deformation already, but we'll see how it goes! Happy I bought it this far.
