Vacuum & dust collection equipment FAQ
Can I use a normal vacuum in a workshop?
When the sawdust is flying and drilling drywall creates clouds of dust, a normal vacuum just won’t cut the mustard. Not only will a regular vacuum do a substandard job of extracting dust and debris, but the super-fine particles created by using power tools can clog filters and lead to motor burnout. They can also struggle with larger debris, and if you’re dealing with spills or wet areas then you’ll need specialised gear. Investing in a vacuum cleaner for your workshop that can handle whatever you throw at it just makes sense.
